I forgot to write about Shenandoah National Park (map / wiki). Then I forgot I forgot.
Here’s some pictures!
Early morning, day 1.
Skyline Road. It winds 100 miles through the mountain ridge that makes up Shenandoah NP. I drove the complete length of it, south to north, at a glorious 35mph speed limit.
Home sweet home at Lewis Mountain campground.
Sunrise hike on a section of the Appalachian Trail, day 2.
Second hike of day 2. The trail followed the descent of this stream for a mile then looped back to the parking lot up a different ravine.
He only started cooperating after I told him he’d be famous.
